Biography
Lacey Gibbens brings a wealth of diverse clinical and leadership experience to her role as nursing faculty. Her passion for patient care inspired her to transition into nursing after a successful first career in business administration. She has since practiced across multiple settings including rural acute care, medical-surgical, ICU, emergency, post-partum, home health, and hospice care.
Her career path also includes time as a travel nurse, preceptor, and nurse entrepreneur. As a certified aesthetic nurse injector, she founded her own injection business, where she continues to integrate artistry, precision, and evidence-based practice.
Raised by her grandmother, Lacey holds a deep respect and affection for the geriatric population — a group that continues to shape her empathy-centered teaching philosophy. She is deeply committed to lifelong learning and plans to pursue a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree to expand her impact on rural healthcare education and practice.
