2026 Presidential Search
In February this year, Dr. Brad Tyndall announced he would be stepping down in January, 2027, from his tenure as President of Central Wyoming College. While leadership transitions can sometimes bring uncertainty, this early announcement has provided the Board of Trustees with the opportunity to conduct a thoughtful and deliberate search process. With time to assemble a search committee and engage the appropriate resources, the College is well-positioned to identify its next leader.
Dr. Tyndall has guided Central Wyoming College through both challenges and meaningful accomplishments. His leadership has supported the College’s continued commitment to student success, community engagement, and program development. This search represents an opportunity to build on that strong foundation and to select a president who will continue advancing Central Wyoming College as a vital educational and community resource for Wyoming.
Dear CWC Students, Faculty, Staff, Alumni, and Community Partners:
With the announcement of Dr. Brad Tyndall’s retirement, the Board of Trustees is beginning the process of selecting his successor with great care and deliberation. The search for a new President will focus on identifying an individual who not only embodies the values and aspirations of our communities but who is also capable of guiding our college through current challenges and emerging opportunities. More importantly, we seek a leader with the vision, skills, and leadership capacity necessary to confidently propel Central Wyoming College into the future.
We have developed a timeline that ensures opportunities for all employees, students, and community partners to share their perspectives on what qualities and priorities are needed in the next President. Additionally, we are committed to forming a Presidential Search Committee that reflects the diversity of both our college and the communities we serve. The process will include a pause during the summer, followed by the recruitment of applications beginning in August 2026. The Board of Trustees anticipates naming the successful candidate by November 2026. Throughout this process, we remain dedicated to maintaining transparency, inclusivity, and thoroughness in our approach.
We will continue to provide updates on the progress of the presidential search through our Presidential Search website: presidentialsearch.cwc.edu. If you have any questions, concerns, or comments regarding the search process, you are welcome to contact our search consultant, Angela Provart, President of Pauly Group, Inc, at aprovart@paulygroup.com.
This is a pivotal moment in CWC’s history. We encourage everyone to participate in ways that are meaningful to them and to help us welcome the college’s new President in January 2027.
Sincerely,
Paula Hunker
Chair, Board of Trustees
