Nita Kehoe - Professor of Art

Nita Kehoe - Professor of Art

Nita has been a faculty member at CWC since fall of 2000. During her tenure within the art department she has expanded the sculpture offerings to include welding and hot glass.  In addition to those areas she also teaches bronze casting, fibers, and art history.

Nita's current body of artwork is inspired by the human form and the everyday actions we perform that through repetition become ritual. She believes that through these rituals we reconnect to our architectural and natural surroundings.  She combines elements from these three worlds in an attempt to create correlations among them.

She earned her MFA in Sculpture from University of Cincinnati in 1998.  She earned an MA in Sculpture in 1996 and a BFA in Design in 1993, both from University of Iowa.  She exhibits her artwork nationally and internationally.
