Central Wyoming Colleges Eases into Spring Semester

Central Wyoming College plans to ease students and employees back to campus for the spring semester. CWC went to phase one before Thanksgiving break due to the rise in COVID-19 cases. The decision was made to help slow down the spread and keep students and employees safe as they went home for the holiday break.

CWC Offers College Credit for Work Experience

Central Wyoming College has an excellent opportunity for potential students who have been in the workforce and have always wanted to earn a degree. CWC will evaluate the knowledge and skills an individual has gained outside of the classroom for college credit. This evaluation is called credit for prior learning.

Engineering degree leads CWC alumna to a career with BLM

Caitlin Heryford started taking engineering classes at Central Wyoming College because she was looking for a challenging career that would allow her to make a difference. Today, Heryford is a petroleum engineer for the Bureau of Land Management and is grateful for the opportunity the college gave her to hone multiple interests.

CWC student makes honoree for Wyoming Women of Influence

Central Wyoming College student Deneica Barrett was nominated for the 2020 Wyoming Women of Influence for her work with Grow Our Own, a gardening group that helps people supply food for themselves. Barrett was both surprised and honored to be nominated and named a 2020 honoree.

CWC Moves to Phase I

CWC Receives Grant to Research Indigenous-based STEM Education

The National Science Foundation has awarded researchers at Central Wyoming College and partner institutions a total of $739,619 in collaborative research grants to address the under-representation of American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) students in the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) disciplines and workforce.
