Central Wyoming College’s Anna Baler Honored with Wyoming Nurses Association’s “Inspiring Our Future Nurses” Award
For Immediate Release
Jackson, Wyo. — Central Wyoming College (CWC) nursing instructor Anna Baler, MSN, RN, CE, has been named the 2025 Inspiring Our Future Nurses Award recipient by the Wyoming Nurses Association (WNA). The award was presented September 11 during the annual WNA Convention – “Leading with Power.”
The Inspiring Our Future Nurses Award recognizes a WNA member who serves as an exceptional mentor and educator, positively influencing the next generation of Wyoming nurses. This year’s nomination came collectively from CWC’s Jackson Campus nursing cohort, who praised Baler’s dedication, compassion, and innovative approach to teaching.
“As a dedicated and inspiring educator, Anna has played a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of nurses in Wyoming through her creative teaching methods, commitment to student success, and passion for the nursing profession,” the nomination stated.
Baler’s teaching approach emphasizes hands-on learning, critical thinking, and compassionate patient care. She integrates case studies, simulation labs, and real-world clinical experiences to help students gain confidence and apply classroom knowledge in practice. Her work in rural and frontier healthcare settings also ensures that her instruction reflects the realities of Wyoming’s unique healthcare landscape.
Beyond the classroom, Baler is known for her personal mentorship and student-centered approach. She provides individualized support to help students balance academic demands with life responsibilities, and she continuously enhances the nursing curriculum to reflect evolving, evidence-based practices.
“Anna embodies the heart of nursing education—dedication, excellence, and genuine care for her students,” said Kathy Wells, CWC Vice President of Academic Affairs. “Her leadership helps sustain CWC’s reputation for producing highly skilled, compassionate nurses who serve communities across Wyoming.”
CWC’s Nursing Program is ranked #1 in Wyoming for its exceptional NCLEX pass rates, rigorous academic preparation, and strong job placement outcomes. Baler’s efforts are a key part of that success.
“Anna’s innovation and mentorship strengthen not just her students, but the nursing profession statewide,” adds Wells. “We’re incredibly proud to see her contributions recognized at the state level.”
CWC President Dr. Brad Tyndall added, “Anna represents the very best of Central Wyoming College — a commitment to excellence, compassion, and community impact. We couldn’t be prouder of this recognition.”
