Launch Your Healthcare Career as a Certified Nursing Assistant
A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a vital member of the healthcare team. After completing an approved training program and passing the state certification exam, CNAs work under the supervision of registered nurses or other licensed healthcare professionals to provide essential, hands-on care in a variety of settings.
CNAs are often the primary caregivers for patients, helping meet day-to-day needs while observing and reporting important changes in their condition. The CNA role is also an excellent entry point for students interested in advancing their healthcare careers.
Scholarships may be available for students ages 25-54 years of age through the Recompete Grant.
