CWC RAISE FUNDS FROM NO SHAVE MOVEMBER
Central Wyoming College participated in No Shave Movember to raise money for men’s health. The funds raised went to support the Tough Enough Cancer Fund of Fremont County.
Each participant was put into a contest with the most votes winning a shave session at the CWC women’s basketball game against Eastern Wyoming College on Dec. 2 at half time. Logan Kay was the winner for the student group with 1,472 points. Lee Wickstrom was the winner for faculty with 2,192 points and Lance Goede was the winner for staff with 5,892 points.
Several staff in Student Affairs got together in October and thought we needed to do something for men’s cancer awareness. We challenged the entire campus to participate and we had a great response. ”
CWC raised more than $230 and Goede presented the check to Rhonda Locker, Help for Health executive director on Jan. 5.
