RUSTLER SPOTLIGHT: FERLON WILLOW, JR.
Ferlon Willow, Jr., a freshman from Ethete, is pursuing a degree in health science.
After graduation, Willow wants to attend a university to continue his education. His plan is to get further into the program before deciding on a specific specialty.
“I’ve always been interested in the medical field, but I like the way it all fits together through science,” Willow said.
When asked why he chose CWC, Willow credits the homey feel.
I like the people, the instructors and the students. ”
Willow was nominated by Lisa Appelhans, tutor/skills coach for Student Support Services.
“This is his first semester in college and he is taking initiative to be successful in college and reach his goals,” Appelhans said. “He attends class regularly, sets time aside to study and uses his time wisely to take advantage of resources such as tutoring, computer lab and instructor meeting times.”
