NEW CWC CHORAL DIRECTOR NAMED
Central Wyoming College has hired a new choral director to replace longtime vocal music professor Robert Hussa who retired this spring.
Adam Kluck, a doctoral candidate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, joins the CWC music department faculty this fall. Currently the artistic director and conductor for the Madison Chamber Choir, Kluck has also worked as a collaborative pianist for numerous musical theater productions and soloists.
Kluck earned his undergraduate degrees at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, including a master’s degree in choral conducting. While at UNC, he was the conductor of the Men’s Glee Club and did an internship with the professional St. Martin’s Chamber Choir in Denver. He also spent a year teaching choir at Greeley Central High School.
A Lorna Wendt Distinguished Choral Fellow in 2013-14, Kluck brings experience as director of musical director and conductor for operas, including Donizetti’s L’Elisir d’Amour and Gilbert and Sullivan’s HMS Pinafore.
In addition to conducting the CWC Collegiate Chorale and the Master Chorale, Kluck is scheduled to teach courses in music technology and fundamentals this fall. He is also director of the student vocal jazz ensemble.
