UW SINGING STATESMEN AND HAPPY JACKS PERFORM MARCH 10

UW SINGING STATESMEN AND HAPPY JACKS PERFORM MARCH 10

Two all-male vocal music ensembles from the University of Wyoming present a concert at Central Wyoming College Sunday, March 10 at 3 p.m. in the Robert A. Peck Arts Center Theatre.

Sponsored by Arts in Action and the CWC Music Department, the UW Singing Statesmen and The Happy Jacks have been building a reputation in the region.

The Singing Statesmen is the newest performing organization at UW and perform standard male chorus repertoire. The Statesmen have invited area high school singers and alumni to join in for three pieces.

The Happy Jacks is an a cappella ensemble whose members have been selected from the larger University of Wyoming men’s choir and the Singing Statesmen. The Happy Jacks perform a wide range of hits that includes classics from the ’60s, more contemporary chart-toppers, and original compositions.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Ticket sales offset touring costs for the ensembles. For more information, contact Robert Hussa, CWC Music Department, at 307-855-2213.
