The work of six local artists is on display in the Robert A. Peck Arts Center Gallery at Central Wyoming College Nov. 28 through Jan. 25.
The exhibit presents six women with their various creative approaches to art forms, said artist and exhibitor Sallie Wesaw. A retired CWC art professor, Wesaw is exhibiting assorted two- and three-dimensional pieces, and is joined by Kathi Miller, Vickie Blake-Francis, Wendy and Halee Heerman, and Judy Spillman. The artists are honored at an opening reception Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 6:30 p.m.
“Our aim was to show some artists with views of art that are a bit off the worn path and noteworthy in concept,” Wesaw said of the “Six Visions” exhibit. “We wanted to bring into view, for others to experience, the variety of talents and viewpoints that these artists represent.”
Miller is a fiber artist and Blake-Francis exhibits both photography and painting. Wendy Heerman is displaying jewelry and pottery, while Halee Heerman has paintings and drawings on exhibit. Spillman presents collages and paintings.
The Gallery is open during regular college hours. (Painting by Vickie Blake-Francis)
