CELTIC DUO AT CWC OCT. 30
Men of Worth, a folk duo specializing in Celtic music, are in concert at Central Wyoming College Tuesday, October 30, at 7:30 p.m. in the Robert A. Peck Arts Center
Presented by Arts in Action and the CWC Music Department, the duo made up of Jamie Keigher of Ireland and Donnie Macdonald of Scotland; preserve their homeland heritage with accuracy and authenticity.
Both exiles, the musicians met in California, and began blending the music of their roots with a variety of instruments, including the mandolin, guitar, mandocello, banjo, concertina and the Irish handheld drum, the bodhran.
Cultural presentations in schools, which the duo will present locally, have received rave reviews by students and teachers alike. Performing concerts, festivals, and having recorded ten albums, Men of Worth continue the very tradition from which they evolved.
General seating tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students through high school. Tickets are now on sale at the CWC Box Office, open weekdays from 3-6 p.m., online and will also be available at the door the night of the show.
Macdonald comes from the Isle of Lewis, one of the Hebridean Islands off the west coast of Scotland. Keigher comes from County Mayo in the west of Ireland.
