RUSTLER SPOTLIGHT: SHELBY WELTZ

RUSTLER SPOTLIGHT: SHELBY WELTZ

portrait of CWC student Shelby Weltz

Shelby Weltz is from Fort Steele, British Columbia, studying engineering at CWC. She chose engineering because she really enjoys math and solving problems.

“I chose CWC so that I could further pursue my passion for rodeo at the collegiate level while attending a college where I would also get a great academic experience,” Weltz said. The learning atmosphere and positive environment are something that Weltz said she loves about CWC, as well as the small class sizes.

Weltz will graduate in the spring and she plans to continue her education at a university, most likely back in Canada, and would ultimately like to be a civil engineer.

Weltz is on the CWC rodeo team. She was nominated by CWC’s math professor Mike Bostick.

“Shelby is an Engineering major at CWC and is excelling in her classes in addition to being a busy athlete on the CWC rodeo team,” Bostick said. “Shelby is motivated, collaborative, insightful, and friendly.”
