RUSTLER SPOTLIGHT: JULIA DOROTHY

RUSTLER SPOTLIGHT: JULIA DOROTHY

portrait of CWC student Julia Dorothy

Julia Dorothy is a sophomore at Central Wyoming College who is studying criminal justice. She is from Hudson and decided to go to CWC because it was a community college close to home and family. She enjoys being part of the small community at CWC and knowing others on campus.

“It’s almost like a big family,” Dorothy said. Dorothy has joined the Rustler family not only as a student but she is also a member of the criminal justice club, the entrada club, and works for campus security.

Dorothy was always interested in criminal justice and said she was taught to go after her passions. Art is also something that she enjoys and tying those two passions together and becoming a crime scene investigator seemed like a great career and challenge.

Dorothy said she really enjoys using useful skills from her degree that can help better the community and herself. She will graduate this May and has plans to either jump right into the workforce or take a year off and later continue her education and earn a bachelor’s degree.

“I would love to do crime scene investigation or forensic science,” Dorothy said about her future plans.

She was nominated by her campus security supervisor Chuck Carr, campus security director.

“Julia has worked as a campus security intern since August of 2021,” Carr said. “Julia is always early to work and works very hard while she is on duty. Julia is kind, helpful, outgoing, friendly, efficient, and a great student. Julia is very involved with the Criminal Justice Club. Julia always helps out when asked and is a very integral part of our security team.”
