HANDS ON HISTORY IN DUBOIS

Central Wyoming College and The National Museum of Military Vehicles in Dubois are offering three Hands-On History programs to allow their visitors to touch and learn about history before it is put under glass for displays.

CWC Outreach Coordinator Jen Wright is excited to offer this opportunity to all.

This is a ‘VIP Preview’ opportunity to encounter items before they go on exhibit. Bring your family, friends, and neighbors for this unique and fun experience.”

Instructed by Curator Rae G. Whitley, “To the Point: A Short History of the Bayonet” will kick off  the “edutainment” series. 

Day courses for this installment will be offered on Wednesday, March 16 or Saturday, March 19, 2022, from 10 a.m. to noon. An evening class will be held on the 18 from 6 to 8 p.m.

The second class, which focuses on the evolution of U.S. helmets from WWI onward, will be offered Wednesday, April 20 or Saturday, April 23, from 10 a.m. to noon. An evening class will be offered Friday, April 22, from 6  to 8 p.m. 

The final class, which concentrates on  shoulder fired anti-tank weapons, will be offered Wednesday, May 18 or Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 10 a.m. to noon. An evening option will be available on Friday, May 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. 

Each of these “Hands-On History” programs invites visitors to bring a bag lunch and spend the day at the museum.
