RUSTLER SPOTLIGHT: DEB LASHLEY

RUSTLER SPOTLIGHT: DEB LASHLEY

portrait of CWC student Deb Lashley

Deb Lashley is in her second year at CWC and is in the nursing program. Her desire to become a nurse comes from her experience years ago as a CNA.

“I enjoyed the work I did and the services I provided to others in my community,” she said.

Lashley put her education on hold while she raised her family but now she is on the path of becoming a registered nurse. She chose the program at CWC because it was in her community and she believes in supporting local businesses and institutions.

I have found the professors to be superb. I enjoy the learning environment and the way the staff wants to help all the students succeed. ”

After Lashley graduates from the program, she plans to work in Fremont County and ultimately wants to earn a master’s degree in nursing.

Lashley is a member of TRIO at CWC and when she isn’t studying she enjoys camping, fishing, hiking, baking and spending time with family. She also enjoys amusement parks.

Lashley was nominated by Lee Wickstrom.

“She has shown exceptional interest in learning math and demonstrated leadership skills in encouraging other students to be involved in MATH POWER HOUR,” Wickstrom said.
