Biography

Martin Armajo Sr. was born in Lander and raised on the Wind River Indian Reservation. Martin is an enrolled member of the Northern Arapaho Tribe. Martin started serving his community as a Police Officer with the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) on the Wind River Reservation. During his years with the BIA, Martin served as Police Officer, Lieutenant and finished his career as a Special Agent with the BIA/Division of Drug Enforcement and was also a team member of the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation Northwest Regional Enforcement team in Riverton, Wy. Following his law enforcement career, Martin took a position with the Wind River Tribal Court as an Associate Judge and is still a Judge for the tribe’s Healing to Wellness Court which is equivalent to the state’s Drug Court system.
