Leighann Hernandez

Leighann Hernandez completed a one-year internship at Maker Space 307 through Central Wyoming College and the Bootstrap Collaborative, supported by a USDA RISE grant. As an Automotive Technology student, she brought strong technical skills, creativity, and problem-solving to a wide range of hands-on projects—from restoring century-old furniture to using advanced tools like 3D printers and laser cutters. Her ability to take initiative and learn new skills made her an invaluable part of the team. This internship is a great example of how collaboration between students, mentors, and local programs creates real-world learning and lasting impact.
