Jordan Hanway, a student at Central Wyoming College, recently completed an internship with the Wind River Community Alliance, working closely with Director of Operations Cherokee Brown. Her role gave her the chance to contribute to meaningful community efforts while continuing her studies.
During her internship, Jordan helped create surveys and intake forms for a new class, gaining experience in program development and outreach. One of the highlights of her work was contributing to a special initiative called “Adopt a Grandparent”, a program designed to support and connect with tribal elders.
Through this hands-on experience, Jordan not only strengthened her technical and organizational skills but also made a real impact in her community. Her work is a strong example of how student internships can support both learning and local engagement.
