STUDENT ART SHOW IN CWC ARTS CENTER GALLERY

Central Wyoming College art students exhibit their best at the Annual Art Department Show on display in the Robert A. Peck Arts Center Gallery through May 4.

 Lisa Hueneke, director of the Lander Art Center, is the juror for the student show and she announces her favorite selections in each category at a 6 p.m. reception April 23 in the gallery. She also selects the “Best of Show” and reveals the People’s Choice Award.

 Students in sculpture, graphic design, photography, digital imaging, digital photography, painting, glass, ceramics and drawing are allowed to enter up to three pieces in each category.

Hueneke has worked for non-profit organizations both nationally and internationally, including the Academy for Educational Development in Washington, DC, the Octagon Center for the Arts in Ames, Iowa, T.F. Chen Art and Culture Center Foundation in New York City and Museo Tanga Tanga de los Niños in Sucre, Bolivia.

The public is invited to view the show during regular college business hours. The reception is also open to all.
