The fall rodeo season starts this Friday here at Central Wyoming College. The rodeo will be at the Fremont County Fairgrounds in Riverton Sept. 11-13.
The lady rustler volleyball team had their first home game of the season this last weekend against Rocky Mountain College. Student services hosted a tailgate party Friday night to help kick-off the volleyball season. Members of Rustler Riot face painted for the game.
Central Wyoming College has two new assistants. Shaylee Hance is the new assistant rodeo coach and Tavia Young is the new assistant volleyball coach. Both are past CWC students.
The rodeo booster club will be having a chuck wagon dinner Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 6 pm at the Robert A. Peck Center patio.
A tragic climbing accident took the life of a CWC student this weekend. Jonathan MacDonald, 23, died Friday Aug. 28 on Pingora Peak in the Southern Wind River Mountains.
The men’s and women’s golf team started off the season with some good shots with the men’s team finishing third. Although the women’s team had comparable scores they were unable to compete with only three members on the team.
Give/Take art exhibition will be on display from Aug. 24 through Oct. 27, 2015 at the Central Wyoming College Gallery. The gallery is in the Robert A Peck Arts Center and will be open during normal school hours.
Convocation welcomed new students to CWC friday at the Robert A. Peck Center.
Today marks day two of new student orientation; tomorrow will wrap up the events with convocation starting at 9 am in the Robert A. Peck Center theater.
