Central Wyoming College recognizes T & A Towing and Recovery for Community Support

Central Wyoming College (CWC) would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to T & A Towing and Recovery, a Fremont County towing service, for their generous support of a student in need. This act of kindness exemplifies the spirit of community and collaboration that CWC values.

Recently, a student, Danika Smith, reached out to her TRIO Success Coach, Andrea Rodriguez, for assistance with a stroller, as she was walking her son to daycare before attending class. While CWC was able to provide a stroller, it was discovered that Danika had a car that was broken down and located out of town, making it difficult for her to get it repaired. In an effort to help, Jeffrey Sandlian, CWC’s TRIO Student Success Program Manager, contacted Kacee Bailey, owner of T & A Towing and Recovery, to inquire about the cost of towing the vehicle into town.

Kacee quickly responded, asking for more details about the situation and how they could assist. After coordinating with Jordan Martin, co-owner of T & A Towing, they arranged to retrieve the car and assess the issues. Jordan’s expertise revealed that the car had significant problems that would be too costly to repair. However, T & A Towing and Recovery did not stop there; they helped Danika find an affordable replacement vehicle and assisted her in selling her broken-down car.

“Central Wyoming College and our student Danika Smith would like to thank and recognize the generosity of T & A Towing and Recovery,” says Sandlian. “They helped us through a challenging time. It’s a community business that saw a need and stepped up to help. That means a lot to us.”

The TRIO Student Support Services program at Central Wyoming College serves over 375 students annually, focusing on overcoming barriers to success through academic advising, tutoring, mentoring, financial aid assistance, and more. The support from local businesses like T & A Towing and Recovery is invaluable in helping students achieve their educational goals.
