Riverton, Wyo. — Central Wyoming College (CWC) and the University of Wyoming (UW) have launched a new collaborative effort designed to help CWC students in select majors complete their UW degrees more efficiently.

The Express Transfer Agreement (ETA) program allows CWC students in designated programs to be co-admitted to and co-advised by the University of Wyoming, streamlining the transfer of CWC credits toward UW degrees, while providing CWC students the opportunity to participate in UW sporting events, concerts, cultural experiences and other campus activities.

“The University of Wyoming is delighted to be part of this innovative partnership with our valued community college partner, Central Wyoming College,” said UW President Ed Seidel. “This program creates even smoother pathways for students to earn their associate degree and then complete their bachelor’s degree at UW. Our hope is that this pilot will grow to include more areas of study and benefit students across Wyoming.”

The ETA program is available to students who enroll at Central Wyoming College starting Fall 2026 and aspire to earn bachelor’s degrees in the following areas: Communication, English, Psychology, Business, Elementary Education, Computer Science, and Social Work.

A key feature of the program is co-advising, in which CWC students will be assigned advisers from both CWC and the University of Wyoming. Students will receive regular guidance and communication from both institutions. Once a student earns their associate degree, they will automatically transition to full UW student status and register for the next semester with a clear understanding of the coursework required to complete a UW bachelor’s degree.
