A series of backcountry ski touring events designed specifically for women has been organized by the Central Wyoming College Lander Center.

Interested students have the option of participating in one to four different backcountry adventures; three in the Togwotee Pass area and one near South Pass. The Dec. 7 trip is $75 and takes skiers to the Two Oceans Peak area. On Jan. 11, the class travels to South Pass which costs $40. Trip three is $100 and is a journey near Brooks Lake on Feb. 8. The final trip on March 8 is to Lava Mountain, and is priced at $75. The entire series is $250.

An orientation is scheduled on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at the CWC Lander Center from 6-9 p.m.
