RUSTLER SPOTLIGHT: MARIO RODRIGUEZ

RUSTLER SPOTLIGHT: MARIO RODRIGUEZ

portrait of CWC student Mario Rodriguez

Mario Rodriguez is a sophomore and is in the criminal justice program. He chose CWC because it was affordable. He will graduate this May and plans to transfer to a four year school to complete a bachelor’s degree. Rodriguez is currently looking at Portland State University to continue his studies.

Ultimately, Rodriguez would like to be a detective but would like to gain experience in all aspects of law enforcement.

“After college I prefer to move to a big city,” he said. “I like the atmosphere.”

Rodriguez is a member of the criminal justice club and in his free time he enjoys being active and likes to hang out with friends.

Rodriguez was nominated by Paula Hartbank, education/transfer coach.

Mario is such a great student who is very fun to work with. Per his request since the beginning of fall semester, Mario and I meet weekly to work on his transfer to another university. He shows up for every appointment and is always eager to work on whatever we need to, whether it's admissions applications, transcripts, or scholarship applications. He works full-time at Wal-Mart and goes to school full-time. He is very dedicated to his education. I really think he will reach his academic goals, and I know he will do a great job in the criminal justice field. ”
