RUSTLER SPOTLIGHT LARS BECKER
Lars Becker is in his third year at CWC and decided to go to college close to home before going to a larger college. Originally from Riverton, Becker always enjoyed math in high school and decided to pursue a degree in math and pre-engineering.
Becker will graduate in May and will continue his education at Northwest Lineman College in Idaho. The course will take about six weeks to complete. After completion of the program Becker will work to become a journeyman which will take about four years.

After Becker completes the lineman program he wants to come back to Riverton to work for an electrical company.
Becker was nominated by Paula Hartbank, education and transfer coach.
“Lars is a TRIO student who works hard each and every day. He pretty much lives in the Student Success Center when he is not in class,” Hartbank said. “Lars is a very quiet but positive and upbeat student who draws very little attention to himself. He is very focused on his education.”
