Twenty-three Central Wyoming College athletes were awarded Region IX Academic Awards for maintaining a GPA of 3.25 or higher and two teams have been nominated for the 2015-16 Academic Team of the Year. The two teams are women’s basketball and volleyball; team qualifications must have at least four members with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

“Our student athletes have done a great job throughout the year,” said Dr. Brad Tyndall, vice president for academic affairs. “Their hard work and determination to be leaders within and beyond both the academic and athletic arenas are a great attribute to CWC.”

Athletic Director, Steve Barlow said his coaches stress academics and recruit students who will dedicate the time and effort needed to succeed in the classroom.
