Riverton Hospital Auxiliary donates to CWC Foundation

The Riverton Hospital Auxiliary made a donation of $15,000 to the Central Wyoming College Foundation on August 3.

“The donation will benefit scholarships designated for students who are enrolled and accepted into the CWC Nursing program,” said Becky Ruthenbeck, foundation director.

The Riverton Hospital Auxiliary took advantage of the State of Wyoming Endowment Matching Program. This program allows all donations made to an endowment to be matched dollar for dollar. The CWC Foundation currently has 1.2 million dollars to match through the program.

As a result of the matching the program the initial donation of $15,000 by the Riverton Hospital Auxiliary, doubled to $30,000 in endowment funds.

“We are excited to work with the community and appreciate their support for higher education,” Ruthenbeck said.
