Convocation 2015

Convocation welcomed new students to CWC friday at the Robert A. Peck Center.

Dr. Brad Tyndall, vice president for academic affairs lead the words of welcome for the students followed by Michael Bostick, faculty association president, who motivated students to cherish college and to challenge them academically.

Rachel Hofer, student senate president concluded the words of welcome by sharing her experience at CWC and to motivate new students to not only get involved with activities on campus but to also get to know faculty and staff.

Keynote speaker, Jack Gladstone, shared his life journey and his history through song during convocation. Gladstone is a performer with 15 critically acclaimed CD’s and in 2011, he received the prestigious “Best Historical Recording” award from the Native American Music Association for his masterpiece, Native Anthropology, Challenge, Choice and Promise int he 21st century.

Convocation concluded with a meet and greet barbecue.
