RIDGWAY RECEIVES OUTSTANDING INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE AWARD
The Wyoming Workforce Development Council awarded Central Wyoming College’s Lori Ridgway with the Outstanding Individual Performance Award at a state safety summit last week.
Ridgway is the director of workforce training at CWC. The award, which recognizes an individual for their contributions to workforce development, was presented at the Wyoming Safety and Workforce Summit.
“I feel quite honored to have been chosen for this amongst many who work diligently to provide training and education for Wyoming’s workforce,” Ridgway said.
The summit is a gathering for professionals to discuss workforce development and safety within the state of Wyoming. It also recognizes those who have contributed to the development of the state’s workforce.
Ridgway has been CWC’s director of workforce training since 2011 and has worked in the workforce development department since 2008. Her role has included working with organizations and business’ to design training programs that encourage the development of leadership, team building, management, and goal setting skills, to name a few.
Leading up to the award, Ridgway facilitated a statewide project merging the Department of Workforce Services with the former Department of Employment. Other noteworthy accomplishments include delivering Wyoming Introductory Supervisory training to over 100 state of Wyoming employees and facilitating a statewide focus group project for the University of Wyoming Internationalization Lab.
“Lori is a positive force for workforce development in our state,” said Lynne McAuliffe, who nominated Ridgway for the award. “She is one of those dedicated people that never says ‘no’ to a challenge.”
