RUSTLER SPOTLIGHT: WYATT BURICHKA

RUSTLER SPOTLIGHT: WYATT BURICHKA

CWC student Wyatt Burichka

Wyatt Burichka is a sophomore at CWC. Originally from Cody, Wyoming, he came to CWC to study new media. Burichka decided to attend CWC because it was close to home and he said he loves the program.

“I enjoy the opportunities that I’m given from the news media program and Rustler Radio,” he said. One determining factor for pursuing the degree was the ability to cover a lot of sports.

Burichka said he likes that CWC has provided a lot of opportunities and that he’s been able to be at sports events and participate through filming, directing, and calling games.

Burichka graduated in the fall and plans to continue his education at a four-year college or university. He plans to be a sports radio announcer for a career. During his time at CWC, he worked at Rustler Radio.

Burichka was nominated by John Gabrielsen, broadcast station manager.

“Wyatt Burichka is irreplaceable as an intern in the new media/radio department,” Gabrielsen said. “He has been behind the scenes on CWC volleyball games, broadcast Riverton sub-varsity football games, and made videos and was a technical director of the Rustler Report on Facebook, and went to Shoshoni to do their first varsity football game with Wind River at Shoshoni. He has truly been my right hand and was very good at what he did. I will miss him greatly.”
