RUSTLER SPOTLIGHT: AIDEN HEREFORD

RUSTLER SPOTLIGHT: AIDEN HEREFORD

portrait of CWC student Aiden Hereford

Aiden Hereford is a freshman at CWC from Fort Washakie, Wyoming. She chose CWC because it was close to home.

“I went to Sherman Indian High School in California for four years so I decided to stay close to home,” Hereford said.

She is studying psychology to become a social worker and help her community on the Wind River Reservation. Hereford said the thing she loves about her degree is that it has broadened her perspective on how society works.

After her time at CWC, she plans to attend Northern Arizona University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in psychology.

Hereford has been an adventurer during her time at CWC. She joined the Broadening Inclusion Knowledge and Experience in Science (BIKES) program with professor Jacki Klancher where they participated in the Ride the Divide biking tour. Hereford has recently joined the Entrada club and plans to experience a cultural trip in the spring.

I love living on-campus and meeting great people with different backgrounds. ”

Hereford was nominated by Paula Hartbank, CWC education and transfer coach.

“Aidan is a CWC TRIO student who is majoring in psychology. She is just a very nice individual who is a joy to be around,” Hartbank said. “She spends a lot of time in the TRIO lab studying for her classes. I think Aidan has a very bright future ahead of her, and I’m excited to see what she does in the future.”
