RUSTLER SPOTLIGHT: KAYLA HAY

portrait of CWC student Kayla Hay

Kayla Hay is from Mill Run, Pennsylvania and is studying equine science and equine business management at Central Wyoming College.

Hay grew up on a family operated dairy farm which is where her passion for animals began. She chose CWC because she wanted to turn her passion for horses into a career.

I have aspirations to become an equine assisted therapist and earn my certification through the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship. ”

“I plan to manage a dual facility that has two operations; one that houses a boarding facility and the other that includes therapeutic horsemanship.”

Besides working with horses, Hay enjoys singing, acting and making ceramics. Hay is a student ambassador and is a member of the Livewire club.

Hay was nominated by her ambassador advisor, Laura Phagan.

“Kayla is an inspiration to others. She is kind, caring and takes initiative with projects,” Phagan said. “Kayla is willing to learn and do new things that represent the ambassadors and their projects.”
