Ashli Woods is an online student studying social science. There were many reasons that led Woods to CWC, it was close to home and she was able to earn her degree online.

“Online classes is the most effective way for me to complete my degree while working and raising a family,” Woods said.

Her interest in social science came from wanting to help people and become a social worker. Woods plans to graduate from CWC in 2018 and transfer to the University of Wyoming to earn a bachelors in social science.

“I have a strong interest in becoming a licensed clinical social worker and working specifically with first responders and those dealing with PTSD,” Woods said. ”

In her free time Woods enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys spending time in the mountains, reading and exercising.

Woods was nominated by faculty member Jim Thurman.

“Ashli is an excellent, attentive student and is routinely an outstanding contributor to all aspects of her classes,” Thurman said.
