The CWC Foundation hosted a scholarship reception Oct. 8 at the Robert A. Peck Art Center gallery.
The reception hosted scholarship donors for an evening to meet their scholarship recipients.
Sophomores Shaylee Metz, Abigail Hayduk and Amy Nicola presented during the reception about their journey at CWC and how their scholarships impacted their academics; all are pursuing multiple degrees.
About 100 people were in attendance including members of the board of trustees, the foundation board, donors, CWC faculty, staff and students.
“It connects donors and scholarship recipients,” said Becky Ruthenbeck, foundation director. “It allows student to meet with their scholarship donors, who have generously made a donation to help them further their education and overcome financial stress.”
The scholarship reception is an annual event and if anyone is interested making a donation to benefit student scholarships they can contact the Foundation office.
