Teton Science School Training for CWC Students

Teton Science School Training for CWC Students

Nine Central Wyoming College students and three University of Wyoming students spent a week at the Kelly Campus of Teton Science Schools in Kelly, Wyoming learning about place based education courtesy of a grant from the National Science Foundation.

It was really amazing to see how engaged the students were in the training. ”

The CWC students were part of a program called Wyoming Interns to Teacher Scholars (WITS), a Robert Noyce Scholarship program that targets STEM undergraduates, graduates and professionals interested in obtaining a K-6 elementary teaching certificate. The primary goal of the WITS program is to recruit and retain diverse teachers with a background in STEM in order to increase the number of highly qualified teachers. CWC is a sub-recipient of the grant from UW.
