This special evening offers an opportunity to meet the artists and learn about the cultural significance of star quilts in Native traditions. \nMiracle Seminole\, a young quilt maker and enrolled member of the Northern Arapaho Tribe\, carries forward a family tradition passed down through generations. After facing personal challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic\, she found healing and resilience through quilting\, guided by her mother. \nCherokee Brown\, Miracle’s mother\, learned the art of quiltmaking from her grandmother. She has passed down not only the skills but also the deeper meanings behind star quilts—their eight-point design represents the cardinal directions and stages of life\, with prayers and positive energy woven into each piece. \nPresented in partnership with the Center for the Arts\, Wyoming Arts Council\, and Central Wyoming College\, this exhibit honors a timeless Native tradition of storytelling\, resilience\, and artistic expression.

The work at Indifly exemplifies how Indigenous communities have the power to solve the world’s most pressing societal and environmental challenges. In these short film presentations\, we focus on the Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho Tribes.  The Wind River Indian Reservation is one of the most spectacular wild and remote places in the lower 48.
