Homeland Security
Associate of Arts Degree
This program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive overview of the Department of Homeland Security, its agencies, laws, authorities and actions. Courses focus on Homeland Security Law and on domestic, international, biological, agricultural and cyber terrorism. Students will learn skills and knowledge needed to support the homeland security mission of preventing terrorist attacks within the United States; reducing the United States’ vulnerability to terrorism; minimizing damage and assisting in recovery of occurring terrorist attacks; acting as a focal point regarding crises and emergency planning; and monitoring connections between illegal drug trafficking and terrorism.
