CWC WELCOMES NEW FOUNDATION DIRECTOR

New is a word that very easily describes the Central Wyoming College Foundation. The CWC Foundation has new energy, new ideas, and a new location.

The CWC Foundation recently hired Becky Ruthenbeck as their Executive Director. Becky relocated from Rock Springs, WY were she was the Foundation Director for Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County. She brings ten years of fundraising experience with her to the CWC Foundation. Becky attended Concordia College – Moorhead in Moorhead, MN and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and Business.  She then went on to attend St. Mary’s University of Minnesota where she obtained a Master’s Degree in Philanthropy and Development.

“I am excited to make sure each donor’s needs and charitable goals are fulfilled.  I believe in donor-centered giving and strive to align their passions and interests with the current and future initiatives of Central Wyoming College,” said Ruthenbeck

 The CWC Foundation also welcomes Jenna Hague as the new Administrative Assistant of the CWC Foundation.  Jenna is originally from Riverton, WY and attended CWC where she obtained her Associates Degree in Accounting. Following graduation from CWC she attended the University of Wyoming and acquired a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.

“I am excited to be working at the CWC Foundation and am thrilled to come back to my Riverton roots to help benefit the CWC community,” said Jenna Hague New energy brings new ideas. The CWC Foundation is looking to host new fundraising events and already have some exciting things planned for the future.  The CWC Foundation did not host Oktoberfest this year but plans to replace it with a fundraising Gala in the spring.

The CWC Foundation also has a new location. It has moved its offices to the Administrative Wing of the Central Wyoming College Campus in order to increase collaboration and communication between the two entities. The Foundation was previously located at 2725 West Main and is now settling into its new home.

The Central Wyoming College Foundation is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization that was established in 1968 for the purpose of securing financial resources to assist and extend financial support to Central Wyoming College. Financial assistance is provided through various educational programs and services, scholarships, grants-in-aid, and loans to students enrolled at the college.

The Central Wyoming College Foundation secures funds for current and future initiatives of Central Wyoming College through private donations, grants, events, and planned giving activities. Support from current and future donors is essential in order for the Central Wyoming College Foundation to continue to assist in improving facilities and providing financial assistance to students.

The Central Wyoming College Foundation is a charitable organization and has its own Board of Trustees. They are as follows: Joyce Dauler, President; Jay Reddon, Vice President; Barbara Gose, Secretary; Pat Skelton, Treasurer; Dr. Cristobal Valdez; Sen. Eili Bebout; David Clauss; Chad Connell; Scott Estep; Curt Galitz; Paul Guschewsky; Alice Nicol; Eileen Oakley; Margaret Peart; Margaret Reynolds; Garland Samuelson; Nicole Schoening, Central Wyoming College Board Liaison; Carlton Underwood, Central Wyoming College Board Liaison.

Central Wyoming College President Cris Valdez said, “We are so pleased to welcome Becky and Jenna to the CWC family.  Their combined expertise and enthusiasm add great value to the important work the Foundation and the College are engaged in to realize stronger community and donor relations.  Their ability to increase fundraising efforts for our students will increase opportunities for them to succeed and contribute to the economic viability of Central Wyoming.”  Valdez noted, “Last year the Foundation contributed in excess of $310,000 to CWC student scholarships and programming, with these new employees and an energized Board, we can double that amount.”
