DESCRIPTION:CWC Lander & Alpine Science Institute Discover Day\nWednesday\, September 23\, 2026 \nHigh school juniors and seniors\, and their parents\, families and counselors\, are invited to experience Central Wyoming College’s Alpine Science Institute during Discover Day! \nSpend the day exploring CWC’s 127-acre mountain campus near Sinks Canyon State Park\, meeting faculty and current students\, and getting a firsthand look at programs built around hands-on\, real-world learning. \nDiscover Day includes: \n\nA tour of the Alpine Science Institute campus\nHands-on activities led by CWC faculty and students\nSessions in Environmental Science\, Geospatial Science and Technology (GIST)\, Outdoor Recreation and Wilderness Navigation\, Regenerative Agriculture and Culinary\nInformation about housing and student life\nA dedicated parent and counselor session\nFree lunch\n\nLocated in the foothills of the Wind River Mountains\, the Alpine Science Institute is home to programs in Outdoor Education\, Outdoor Recreation\, Geospatial Science\, Expedition Science and Regenerative Food Systems. The campus features 10 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails\, historic apple orchards\, a half-acre farm\, classroom facilities and student housing. \nRSVP is encouraged for all students attending. Schools bringing a bus or group of students should have each student register individually and contact CWC Lander in advance so groups can stay together for sessions and lunch. \nQuestions?
