SUMMARY:Native Currents Art Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Exhibition: Wednesday\, May 28 – Friday\, August 29\, 2025\nOpening Reception: Tuesday\, June 24\, 2025; 6-7 p.m. \nThis is an exhibit amplifying Indigenous voices and challenging dominant narratives by showcasing contemporary Native artists both locally and across the United States. Through a curated collection of innovative and inspiring works\, our goal is to present art from an Indigenous perspective\, celebrating the depth\, resilience\, and evolving creativity of Native communities. \nAward money: $500 \nCurated by Nita Kehoe and Al Hubbard \n\n\nNita Kehoe\, Professor of Art and Gallery Director has been a practicing artist for 35 years.  She creates conceptual artwork focusing on the intersection between humanity and nature.  She has exhibited her artwork internationally and is in numerous collections.  She teaches ceramics\, sculpture and art history at Central Wyoming College for the past 24 years. \n\n\n\n\nAl Hubbard\, is a multi-disciplinary contemporary indigenous artist.
