SUMMER BRIDGE PROGRAM GIVES STUDENTS HEAD START

SUMMER BRIDGE PROGRAM GIVES STUDENTS HEAD START

Central Wyoming College’s free Summer Bridge Boot Camp scheduled for August 5-23 provides incoming students with the academic skills to be successful in their college experience.

The program is designed to reduce or eliminate the need for developmental courses at CWC, providing students who need a brush up in math or English an intensive, accelerated program before beginning the fall semester.

Through a University of Wyoming challenge grant, students may enroll at no cost. Tuition, books and fees are covered and lunch is also provided at no charge. Successful students are also provided free tuition and a stipend to enroll in the freshman seminar course offered during New Student Orientation August 28-30.

Students participating in the boot camp can take pre-college reading, English or math courses. To register, contact Academic Advisers Jason Harris at (307) 855-2270 or Lisa Cunningham at (307) 855-2223.
