Ben Evans
Professor of English Ben Evans has taught at CWC for more than a decade. Before joining the CWC faculty in 1998, he taught at Eastern Oregon University, the University of Idaho and was an English as a Second Language instructor at Lewis and Clark State College.

"I specialize in helping anyone become more aware of the benefits, for themselves and the world, that come from the practice of discovering, expressing and supporting ideas in English," he says. "I also specialize in helping anyone get good at it."

Committed to guiding students through the exploration and practice of creative writing, Ben also emphasizes the significance of reading skills.

Ben is a percussionist, singer, guitar player, essayist, publisher and song writer. "I grew up in the outdoors and credit experiences in the wilderness with forming my character, including my desire to teach well."
