Holiday Music Hits the Stage at Festival of Carols

The Central Wyoming College music department will present their annual Festival of Carols on Sunday, Dec. 9 at 2 pm in the Robert A. Peck Arts Center theater.

Festival of Carols is a Christmas performance that will feature the Central Wyoming College Collegiate Chorale, the Central Wyoming Brass, and CWC alumni, Cameron and Amara Fehring. The program will be similar to past performances with the performing groups featured on stage together. Performance and pieces will flow smoothly between the groups.

Narrations and audience participation with traditional Christmas carols will be included. The literature will include arrangements of familiar Christmas carols and holiday music. The performance is under the direction of Sharon Dalton. Admission is free and open to all. There will be a voluntary goodwill collection taken during the concert, the proceeds of which will be donated to the Fremont County Good Samaritan Center and the Lander Care and Share Food Bank. Light refreshments will be served in the gallery following the performance.

We are excited to share this performance with the community and to have guest performers and CWC alumni, Cameron and Amara Fehring with us this year. The flow of pieces with no applause makes for a peaceful performance reflecting the beauty of the season. ”
