Olivia is a freshman from Rigby, Idaho. She journeyed to CWC to play basketball and loved the campus from the moment she saw it.
"The people are really friendly," Shippen said. "I came here for the programs and to play basketball."
Shippen is in the pre-health professions program and wants to be a PE teacher or a strength and conditioning coach for a high school. Her father, who is a strength and conditioning coach, has been a role model for her.
"I've always watched him help others and I saw the impact he had on their lives."
After her time at CWC, Shippen plans to transfer to a four-year school in Utah to ultimately earn a master's degree. In her free time, she enjoys playing basketball, spending time with friends and playing the piano. She was nominated by her basketball coach, Ken Swartz.

She is an excellent student and person. She has a great personality and is a leader. I have gotten to know Olivia well in her going on three weeks on campus. ”
