December 3, 2015

Kolbey Wells, a senior at Lander Valley High School signed a national letter of intent to play golf at Central Wyoming College Tuesday Dec. 1. Wells will join the team fall 2016.

Wells has been playing golf for the last four years.

“I thought it would be a good hobby to pick up and I ended up really liking it,” Wells said. “It has taken me to college level, so I’m happy with my decision.”

“Kolbey’s best golf is ahead of him,” said Pat Rafferty, head coach. “I really expect him to give us some quality depth and we need to improve our number three, four and five man scores and I hope Kolbey can contribute immediately in any of those positions.”

Wells will start in the fall, along with joining the golf team; Wells will pursue a degree in physical education.

“I want to be a P.E. teacher or a coach,” Wells said.
