CENTRAL WYOMING COLLEGE AND RAPTI BABAI CAMPUS SIGN INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT

RIVERTON, Wyo. — Central Wyoming College and Rapti Babai Campus in Tulsipur, Dang, Nepal, have formalized a new international academic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding designed to foster collaboration, educational exchange, and opportunities between the two institutions.

Leaders from CWC and Rapti Babai Campus participated in a virtual signing ceremony Wednesday, Sept. 23, marking the beginning of the formal partnership and establishing a framework for the institutions to explore opportunities for academic, cultural, and professional collaboration.

“This partnership reflects Central Wyoming College’s commitment to creating educational opportunities that extend beyond geographic boundaries and connect our students, faculty and communities with the wider world,” said CWC President Brad Tyndall.

Rapti Babai Campus is a community-based, nonprofit higher education institution in Tulsipur, Dang, Nepal. Established in 1991, the campus offers bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in education, management, and humanities and holds Quality Assurance and Accreditation certification from Nepal’s University Grants Commission.

The agreement provides a foundation for CWC and Rapti Babai Campus to build relationships between faculty, students and academic programs while identifying areas of mutual interest and opportunities for future collaboration.

“This partnership creates an opportunity for faculty and students to learn from colleagues in another part of the world while exploring areas where the institutions share academic and educational interests,” says Kathy Wells, Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Rapti Babai Campus describes its mission as providing quality and affordable education, developing human resources across disciplines, expanding access to higher education and creating opportunities for research-oriented study,” said Ganesh Pardhe, campus chief of Rapti Babai Campus.

“This partnership with Central Wyoming College opens an exciting new chapter for Rapti Babai Campus and our students,” said Ganesh Pardhe, Campus Chief of Rapti Babai Campus. “By connecting our institutions across countries and cultures, we can create opportunities to share knowledge, strengthen academic relationships, and provide our students and faculty with a broader global perspective. The partnership developed through conversations among representatives of both institutions with assistance from Mohan B. Dangi, a Fulbright U.S. Senior Scholar, helped facilitate communication between CWC and Rapti Babai Campus and participated in the virtual signing. Dr. Dangi is a 1997 CWC graduate and valedictorian.

“This agreement is an important first step in building a lasting relationship between our institutions,” Tyndall said. “We look forward to learning from one another and finding meaningful ways to connect our students, faculty, and communities.”
