The first Wind River Outdoor Writers Conference, sponsored by Central Wyoming College, is a gathering of writers – from novice to professionals – who work with words in various forms of writing related to the outdoors.

The conference brings together at the Sinks Canyon Center professional writers, editors and publishers of outdoor-related books, magazines and blogs to work with teachers, students and anyone interested in outdoor writing.

The purpose of the conference is to encourage, evaluate, teach, and promote writing in Wyoming, and to help those who want to become professional, published writers achieve that goal.

Interested students may earn one college credit in English with additional work at the conclusion of the conference. Teachers may earn PTSB credit.
