Healthcare Solutions Grant

Over the next four years, Central Wyoming College is expecting to prepare at least 1,200 students for jobs in health care to address the state’s critical shortage of workers in the industry.

With the assistance of a federal grant, CWC is targeting the recruitment of veterans and their spouses, low-income single mothers, Native Americans, unemployed and underemployed health care workers and students interested in health care fields. The program provides career pathways in a variety of comprehensive health care programs.

Career Pathways

The Healthcare Solutions Grant provides career pathways in three career clusters:

• patient care
• allied health
• medical administration

CWC offers educational/training programs to support career pathways in healthcare occupations. The grant also addresses the need for new skills, while reducing barriers to entry and completion and provides some financial assistance opportunities.

The Healthcare Solutions curriculum educates workers for some of the top 30 fastest growing occupations in Wyoming.
