Central Wyoming College has been accredited by the NCA since March 1976. The Higher Learning Commission of the NCA evaluates an entire organization and accredits it as a whole. The Higher L
earning Commission assesses the college on five criteria: mission and integrity; preparing for the future; student learning and effective teaching; acquisition, discovery, and application of knowledge; and engagement of services. The college's most recent accreditation was in 2006 following a comprehensive Self Study and the Higher Learning Commission team visitation that occurred in the fall of 2005 and which resulted in the maximum 10-year continued accreditation.
